If your Trolley Inverter / Intellipower is no longer working, it is often due to the unit needing battery replacement. Batteries are consumables and need to be replaced once depleted.
We will clean the unit out, replace lugs if needed, replace the battery and quote on any other necessary repairs to the unit.
Should the unit not need battery replacement when you bring it in, we will let you know this and quote on what does need to be done to restore the unit to perfect working condition.
Battery replacement price includes the credit for the scrap (old) battery inside the unit which we will retain. Should you wish to keep these old battery there will be an addittional charge of @265+vat per battery.
If you book for your battery replacement in advance, we can do this whilst you wait. It takes about 30mins.
If you are unable to bring the unit to our workshop in Kyalami, we would gladly come to you for an additional call out fee. NB: When Load Shedding causes demand to increase we have to decline call outs due to a lack of man power. Call our offices on 011-468-1619 to discuss this option.

BATTERY SELECTION: You have chosen to take the Leisure Deep Cycles battery. Due to the volatile nature of Load Shedding, there is no warranty on these batteries in this application. These batteries are not recommended for stage 4+ Load Shedding. The lifespan of this battery is dependent on usage. If you do not allow this battery time to fully recharge and recover between uses, it's lifespan will be shortened. If you run this battery down very low or to flat, it's lifespan will be shortened.

IMPORTANT: DUE TO HIGH STAGE LOAD SHEDDING BECOMING MORE FREQUENT WE RECOMMEND YOU UPGRADE TO LITHIUM ION BATTERIES. WE ALSO RECOMMEND USING SOLAR (if applicable/possible) OR A GENERATOR AS A SECOND SOURCE OF CHARGE IN HIGH STAGE LOAD SHEDDING. LEAD ACID BATTERIES DO NOT COPE WELL WHEN THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO RECHARGE AND RECOVER PROPERLY, AS CAN HAPPEN IN CONTINUOUS HIGH STAGE LOAD SHEDDING. BATTERIES WITH REDUCED RUN TIME WILL NOT BE REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY.

If you do choose to use lead acid batteries please turn off the inverter when backup is not required (eg when you're sleeping / away / do not need backup) to prevent unnecessary cycling. Please also aim to allow batteries to fully recharge/recover (this can take anywhere from 24-72hr) before allowing them to discharge again.
